The construction also produces an LED that maintains higher brightness for a longer period of time. Omron Electronics offers a wide range of non-amplified photomicrosensor products, giving engineers the choice of reflective or transmissive types with different configurations, mounting styles, sensing distances, and slot widths.

EE-SY1200 Reflective Photomicrosensor

Omron EE-SY1200 Reflective Photomicrosensor is an ultra-compact surface mount model with a high light current to low leakage current ratio. The reflective photomicrosensor, or photointerruptor, is a compact optical sensor that senses objects or object positions with an optical beam. When an object is located in the sensing area of the reflective photomicrosensor, the object reflects the optical beam of the emitter, thus changing the amount of optical energy reaching the detector.
