Flyover® Cable Assembly Systems

Samtec Flyover^® Cable Assembly Systems feature a broad portfolio of panel, mid-board, and backplane cable systems to extend signal reach and density via ultra-low Twinax cables. Flyover cable assemblies break traditional signaling substrate and hardware constraints, allowing cost-effective, high-performance solutions to 56Gbps+ challenges. The Samtec Flyover family includes QSFP, NovaRay^®, AcceleRate^®, Si-Fly™, FireFly™, and ExaMAX^® cable systems.

FireFly™ Rugged Micro Flyover® Sockets

Samtec FireFly™ Rugged Micro Flyover® Sockets provide high-speed performance of up to 28Gbps per lane. Samtec FireFly Rugged Micro Flyover Sockets are designed to be future-proof with the interchangeability of FireFly copper and optical using the same micro-connector system. The UEC5 and UCC8 connectors are designed to work specifically with the FireFly Flyover System. They are not designed for use with mating cards other than those used with FireFly.

Firefly™-Micro Flyover®-modules met laag profiel

De ECUE FireFly™ Micro Flyover® -modules met laag profiel van Samtec zijn een koperen oplossing op basis van de 100Ω AWG 34- en AWG 36 Twinax-lintkabel van Samtec. Deze modules zijn verwisselbaar met een optische Firefly-montage met hetzelfde verbindingssysteem. De ECUE Firefly Micro Flyover-modules met laag profiel van Samtec zijn voorzien van 28 Gbps-prestaties, een buigradius van 3,18 mm (0,125’) en een breed scala aan End 2-opties. De Eye Speed® -kabels worden aangeboden in AWG 36 Twinax, AWG 34 Twinax en AWG 34 ultralage asymmetrische Twinax in lengtes van 150 mm tot 1000 mm. Deze ECUE-componenten zijn ontworpen voor on-board- of on-package-plaatsing.

FireFly™ Mid-Board Optical Transceiver Solutions

Samtec offers mid-board optical transceiver solutions. This growing and comprehensive family of products delivers reliable signal integrity over an extended distance in chip-to-chip, board-to-board, system-to-system, and onboard connectivity. The designs take data connection "off the board" for up to 28Gbps per lane, with a path to 112Gbps PAM4 via optical cable at greater distances or copper for cost optimization. FireFly™ Micro Flyover System™ is an interconnect system that enables designers to use micro-footprint high-performance optical and cost-effective copper interconnects interchangeably with the same connector system.
