Analog Devices Inc. AD7980 16-Bit 1MSPS PulSAR® ADCs
Analog Devices AD7980 1MSPS PulSAR® ADCs feature low power, high speed, 16-bit sampling ADCs, and a versatile serial interface port. The AD7980 ADCs sample analog input IN+ between 0V to REF with respect to a ground sense IN− on the CNV rising edge. The device's reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage, VDD. Operating from a single power supply, VDD, AD7980 power scales linearly with throughput up to 1MSPS.Using the SDI input, the SPI-compatible serial interface can daisy-chain several ADCs on a single, 3-wire bus with an optional busy indicator. AD7980 is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, or 5V logic, using the separate supply VIO.
Housed in a 10-lead MSOP or a 10-lead QFN (LFCSP) package with operation specified from -40°C to +125°C, the AD7980 1MSPS PulSAR® ADCs are ideal for battery-powered equipment, communications, ATE, data acquisitions, and medical instruments.
