Analog Devices Inc. ADGS5412 SPST Switches

Analog Devices Inc. ADGS5412 consists of four independent single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches. Each switch has an input signal range that extends to the supplies and conducts equally well in both directions.

The switches are controlled through an SPI interface. The SPI interface includes robust error detection features such as cyclic redundancy check (CRC), invalid read/write address detection, and serial clock (SCLK) count error detection. These CRC error detection capabilities enable the ADGS5412 Switches to be used in safety-critical systems. The SPI interface also eliminates the need for parallel conversion and logic traces and reduces general-purpose input/output (GPIO) channel count.

Designers can daisy-chain multiple Analog Device ADGS5412s together to configure multiple devices with a minimal amount of digital lines. ADGS5412's guaranteed break-before-make switching allows the use of the ADGS5412 in multiplexer configurations with external wiring.
