Analog Devices Inc. LT3652 Power Tracking 2A Battery Chargers
Analog Devices Inc. LT3652 Power Tracking 2A Battery Chargers are designed for Solar Power and operate at a 4.95V to 32V input voltage range. The LT3652 battery chargers feature a constant-current/constant-voltage charge specification, with maximum charge current externally programmable up to 2A. Additionally, the chargers offer a 3.3V float voltage feedback reference, allowing any battery float voltage up to 14.4V to be programmed with a resistor divider. The LT3652 features an input voltage regulation loop, reducing charge current if the input voltage falls below a programmed level, and set with a resistor divider. The input regulation loop is used to maintain the panel at peak output power when the LT3652 is powered by a solar panel.
Charging can be terminated by configuring the LT3652 battery chargers when the charge current falls below 1/10 of the programmed maximum (C/10). Once charging is terminated, the device enters a low-current (85µA) standby mode. A new charging cycle is started by an auto-recharge feature if the battery voltage falls 2.5% below the programmed float voltage. The LT3652 also provides a programmable safety timer, allowing top-off charging at currents less than C/10 after the desired time is reached.
