Sierra Wireless / Semtech EM8695 5G RedCap Module

Sierra Wireless / Semtech EM8695 5G RedCap Module is based on Qualcomm's SDX35 baseband processor. This FirstNet-ready M.2 module supports 5G NR bands, 29 LTE bands, and a USB 2.0 interface with enhanced uplink performance. The EM8695 module is compliant with 3GPP release 17 sub-6 and 3GPP release 16 LTE radio performance. This module incorporates secure boot and secure debug functions to improve the device's security. The EM8695 module includes two main interfaces, including the host I/O connector and the RF ports. The host I/O connector provides pins for serial communication, power, and control. This module is used in ultrabooks, notebooks, tablet computers, and M2M applications.

The EM8695 includes three RF connectors for use with host-supplied antennas. The main RF connector for the Tx/Rx path, auxiliary RF connector for diversity, and GNSS RF connector for dedicated GNSS L1/L5.
